Narda - Safety Test Solutions

Locate

The SignalShark and IDA 2 provides excellent tools for unambiguous determination of the location of the source(s) under investigation. Other transmitters often occupy the frequency or the channel that you are looking at.

Manual Bearing

Manual determination of the direction of a signal source (Narda directional antenna needed):

  • Bar graph for visualizing the signal strength
  • Additional audio output of signal strength for direction finding without reference to the display screen
  • Numerical display of level, azimuth (angle from North), elevation (angle above horizon) and polarization
  • Extremely steep channel filters for clean seaparation of even closely spaced frequencies
  • Demodulation of USB, LSB, AM and FM with facility for recording

Horizontal Scan

Automatic direction finding of a signal source (Narda directional antenna needed):

  • Polar diagram with information on the field distribution and indication of direction towards the signal source for recognition of reflections and common channel interference
  • Numerical display of level, azimuth (angle from North), elevation (angle above horizon) and polarization
  • Extremely steep channel filters for clean separation of even closely spaced frequencies
  • Demodulation of USB, LSB, AM and FM with facility for recording

smartDF

Automatic determination of transmitter location (Narda directional antenna needed):

  • Localization of interference source using the smartDF algorithm by triangulation of several stored bearing results
  • Direct display of location on a map on the instrument display for rapid orientation outdoors (option)
